Getting pidgin to run

Download pidgin from sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/pidgin/

make sure you apt-get removed pidgin
get the dev dep: sudo apt-get build-dep pidgin
unpack pidgin
your regular ./configure;make;make install

Run and now configure the plugin.
MicroSoft LCS/OCS:
username: [username].rp.edu.sg
password: email pwd

proxy: livecomm.rp.edu.sg
non default port: 5061
Connection type: ssl/tls
username: [username]
domain: rp.edu.sg
proxy type: no proxy

That should do it.
